This is a site I’d like to use for some translation projects of mine. Currently there’s just one: Apetope.

Apetope is a Japanese music zine done by a girl in Miyagi prefecture named Shiori. Shiori’s music tastes are pretty scattered and I’m learning stuff from her all the time. I’d say that the musicians Apetope does material on are probably safely outside the zone of artists that bank off being indie like pitchfork-indie artists, and are really more along the lines of you have to be somewhat of a maniac to actually find them. But none of them are trash and they’re all very interesting.

The zine also talks about Japanese ghostlore and other things happening around in the northern region of Japan where Shiori lives. If you think the zine might suit you, check it out because it’s pretty good.
